National Hopes Events
Each participating country’s National Association commits to organise a National Hopes Activity such as training camps or qualification events. The selected Hopes candidates (one boy, one girl and their coach) will then advance to the ITTF Hopes Week & Hopes Challenge.

ITTF Hopes Week & Hopes Challenge
The ITTF Hopes Week is built around Education, Fun, and The Challenge. It features specific coaching and management

sessions, training for the young Hopes candidates, and concludes with the Hopes Challenge on the final 2 days. At the Hopes Challenge, the ITTF will select, based on specific criteria, a team of at least four boys and four girls to make up the World Hopes Team.

To encourage GLOBAL participation, the ITTF Education & Training Department offers a number of scholarships according to financial needs and travel distance.

World Hopes Team
The selected World Hopes Team will appear in international competitions and training camps, in order to further develop their potential. This team is also fully funded, managed and coached by the ITTF Education & Training Department.

World Cadet Challenge (U15)
The World Cadet Challenge is a competition, held at the end of the year, between continents for young

athletes under 15 years old. Consisting of Team, Singles and Doubles Events, The World Hopes Team for the year also participates as a team in the Team Event.

Global Junior Circuit
Every Junior Circuit Event will consist of at least Junior Boys’ Singles and Junior Girls’ Singles events (U18). It often also includes doubles and team events, as well as events for other age groups - Cadets (U15), Mini-Cadets (U13) or Hopes events (U12).

World Junior Championships (U18)

Consisting of both team and individual events, youth athletes around the world gather annually at the event to earn the title of World Junior Champion.
